Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer was elected to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke. She served for fifteen consecutive years, culminating with her election as Grand Chief in 2021.  

She is CEO and President of Sky-Deer Consulting; Vice President at Dable Advisory and Consulting Services and Vice President at Panorama Real Estate Services. She is also the Co-Chair of the Northeast Grid Planning Forum, sits on the President’s Advisory at Concordia University, and is a water protector of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River on the Biinaagami Circle. Kahsennenhawe is a proud member of (and advocate for) the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

She speaks her Kanienké:ha language and actively participates in her community’s Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) cultural life. A noted athlete, she spent six years as a professional football quarterback in the United States, after which she graduated from the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

Elle est également coprésidente du Northeast Grid Planning Forum, membre du comité consultatif de la présidence de l’Université Concordia, et défenseuse de l’eau pour les Grands Lacs et le fleuve Saint‑Laurent au sein du cercle Biinaagami. Kahsennenhawe est une fière membre de la communauté 2ELGBTQ+ et en est aussi une ardente alliée.

Elle parle sa langue, le kanien’kéha, et participe activement à la vie culturelle kanien’kehá:ka (mohawk) de sa communauté. Athlète reconnue, elle a été quart‑arrière professionnelle au football pendant six ans aux États‑Unis, avant d’obtenir un baccalauréat en psychologie de l’Université de la Floride centrale (University of Central Florida).
